What’s New Terrarium Plants


We have just started to bring in some amazing exotic plants that are suitable for terrariums.   They are going very fast so we will be restocking them often.


6/12/19 Terrarium Plants ARRIVED!
  • Air plant – Tillandsia sp.
    Bright indirect light, high humidity, epiphytic
  • Bird’s-nest Fern – Asplenium nidus
    Likes bright, indirect light, keep soil moist at all times but do not let stand in excess water
  • Boston Fern – Nephrolepis exaltata
    Likes partial shade, likes high humidity but do not allow soil to dry
  • Bromeliad – Guzmania sp.
    Likes bright, indirect light, water thoroughly but do not let stand in excess water, allow soil to dry slightly between watering
  • Bromeliad – Vriesea sp.
    Likes bright, indirect light, water thoroughly but do not let stand in excess water, allow soil to dry slightly between watering
  • Chinese Money Plant – Pilea peperomioides
    Likes bright indirect light, allow soil to dry slightly between watering
  • Creeping Ficus – Ficus pumila
    Likes bright light, keep soil moist but not wet
  • Croton – Codiaeum variegatum
    Likes lots of light, water when soil starts to dry slightly
  • Dumb Canes – Dieffenbachia sp.
    Likes bright, indirect light, allow soil to dry slightly between watering
  • Hedera Ivy – Hedera helix
    Bright light to part shade, likes evenly moist, well-drained soil but do not overwater, TOXIC do not plant in herbivorous animal habitats
  • Lemon Button Fern –Nephrolepis cordifolia
    Likes a shady location with bright, indirect light, do not allow soil to dry
  • Lipstick Plant – Aeschynanthus sp.
    Likes bright indirect light, allow soil to dry slightly between watering, do not let stand in excess water
  • Prayer Plant – Maranta leuconeura
    Likes low light conditions, keep soil moist, but not wet, do not let stand in excess water
  • Maidenhair Fern – Adiantum raddianum
    Bright indirect light to partial shade, likes high humidity, do not allow soil to dry out
  • Moses in a Boat – Rhoeo spathacea
    Likes moderately bright light, keep soil moist but do not let stand in excess water
  • Nephthytis – Syngonium podophyllum
    Likes a shady location, allow soil to dry slightly between watering
  • Peace Lily – Spathiphyllum sp.
    Likes medium indirect light, soil can be allowed to dry slightly between watering, water if plant is droopy
  • Pepperface – Peperomia obtusifolia
    Likes bright light, allow soil to dry between watering
  • Persian Shield Plant – Strobilanthes dyerianus
    Likes bright indirect light, allow soil to dry slightly between watering
  • Philodendron (Gold) – Philodendron cordatum
    Likes moderately bright light, keep soil moist but do not let stand in excess water
  • Pothos (Gold) – Epipremnum aureum
    Possibly the easiest/best plant to grow in vivaria, will tolerate almost any light level, likes moist soil

    Likes bright indirect light, likes high humidity, allow soil to dry slightly between watering
  • Ripple Peperomia – Peperomia caperata
    Tolerates various light levels, but does not like direct light, water sparingly, keeping soil moist but not wet, avoid overwatering this plant as they are highly susceptible to root rot
  • Snake Plant – Sansevieria trifasciata
    Likes bright light but will tolerate any light level, allow soil to dry between waterings
  • Spear Orchid – Sansevieria boncel
    Likes bright light, allow soil to dry and then water deeply, but do not let stand in excess water
